TOTAL HAS BEEN THE TITLE SPONSOR SINCE 2016]
[Peyami Oven, Total Egypt Managing Director]
Peyami Oven: Having Total on the CAF logo is a marketing breakthrough. Sponsoring such an event will no doubt affect and help our business. It will increase the loyalty with our B2C clients and it will reinforce the relationship and the proximity we have with our B2B clients.
[TOTAL OWNS 235 SERVICE STATIONS IN EGYPT]
[400,000 CUSTOMERS PER DAY]
[Amr Ali, Total Egypt Retail Network Director]
Amr Ali: The Total Africa Cup of Nations was a great opportunity for us to interact with all our customers everywhere in all the different stations, just to strengthen the ties between us and them and also build on our brand. So for this reason we have developed a very comprehensive marketing plan.
[Mohamed Ashraf, Operated Network & Young Dealer Project Manager – Total Egypt]
Mohamed Ashraf: We have some activations during the Total Africa Cup of Nations. We have a special, dedicated gondola for our partners in the shop. Here as you can see, we have the scratch and win activation. Now it’s time for fun.
It’s good to interact with customers. In peak hours, we have huge queues waiting to play here and it’s for free.
During the lucky hour, a special team stops cars going by to talk to customers.
In case they fuel their car with Excellium and purchase one jerrican of lubricant, they get a free ticket and nowadays, in Egypt, that’s hard to find.
Mohamed Ashraf: Did you know there was a contest or was it a surprise?
Client: It was a total surprise!
Mohamed Ashraf: Really?
Mohamed Ashraf: This kind of activation makes good interaction with our customers, makes us close to our customers and really it’s doing a good buzz in the market.
Peyami Oven: Total believes in the robust, growing economy of Egypt and we have a very ambitious investment plan for the coming five years to construct new service stations and logistics facilities as the responsible major providing affordable and clean energy for the Egyptian population.
Football has always been known as a universal language and it’s the most popular sport in Egypt.
In Total we also share some values with football like we’re performance-minded, standing together and even the most important, respect for each other.
