We carry out exploration operations in Mexico.

We operate:
- Block 2 (50%), located in the Perdido Basin in water depths of 2,300 to 3,600 meters and covering a surface area of 2,977 square kilometers.
- Block 15 (60%), located in shallow water off the coast of the State of Campeche in the country’s southeast.

We also have interests in:
- Blocks 1 and 3 (33.3%), in the Salina Basin.
- Blocks 32 and 33 (50%), in shallow water.
- Block 34 (42.5%), in shallow water.

Lastly, we are conducting various studies with Mexican national oil and gas company PEMEX as part of a general technical cooperation agreement.

Our affiliate SunPower (55.66%) has its biggest solar panel manufacturing plant in Mexicali, in the northern part of the country. Spread over 30,000 square meters, the factory has an annual production capacity of 1.3 gigawatts.

In Mexico, we market polymers (polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene) and styrene monomers produced in our U.S. plants and petrochemicals sourced from our South Korean joint venture. They are sold directly.

In specialty chemicals, we are active in the country through our wholly owned affiliate Hutchinson, the leader in elastomers processing specialized in sealing, fluids management, anti-vibration systems, and materials and structures (acoustic and thermal insulation). Hutchinson has three production plants in the country, specialized in fluid transfer and sealing systems for aerospace and industry, and in fluid transfer, body sealing and precision sealing systems for the automotive market.
