We have been active in Mexico through all of our business segments since 1982, primarily in the areas of specialty chemicals and marketing of petroleum products and related services.
We also lead community outreach initiatives in the country, with a focus on safety, health, education and support.

In exploration, we operate:
- Block 2 (50%), located in Perdido Basin in water depths of 2,300 to 3,600 meters, which covers a surface area of 2,977 square kilometers.
- Block 33 (50%), in shallow water.

We also have interests in:
- Blocks 1 and 3 (33.3%), in the Salina Basin.
- Block 32 (50%), in shallow water.
- Block 34 (42.5%), in shallow water.

Lastly, we are conducting various studies with Mexican national oil and gas company PEMEX as part of a general technical cooperation agreement.
 

We hold a 25% interest in Gas del Litoral, the sole customer of Mexico's Altamira liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal.

The petrochemicals we market include polymers and styrene monomers from our U.S. plants and polymers from our South Korean and Qatari joint ventures.

We are also active in specialty chemicals through our affiliate Hutchinson, which has three production plants in the country, specialized in fluid transfer and sealing systems for aerospace and industry, and in fluid transfer, body and precision sealing systems for the automotive market.

Our affiliate SunPower (56.26%) has its biggest solar panel manufacturing plant in Mexicali, in the northern part of the country. Spread over 30,000 square meters, the factory has an annual production capacity of 1.3 gigawatts.

We have a network of around 250 service stations in Mexico.

We also market petroleum products and related services in Mexico, including:
- Lubricants
- Special fluids
 

We purchase Mexican crude oil to supply our Port Arthur refinery in Texas. We also sell petroleum products.
