We are a major producer of renewable electricity in France:

- from wind power, via our subsidiaries, Total Quadran (100%) and Total Eren (indirect stake of 33.86%), with a total capacity of 542 MW. We also operate the Mardyck wind power plant (near the Flanders facility) with a capacity of 10 MW;
- from solar energy, thanks to the plants operated by our subsidiaries Total Solar Distributed Generation (100%), Total Quadran and Total Eren with a total capacity of 404 MW;
- from hydraulic power, thanks to the nine hydroelectric power plants operated by our subsidiary Total Quadran for a total capacity of 14 MW;
- using biomethane, thanks to the 10 biomethane recovery units operated by our subsidiary Total Quadran for a total capacity of 12 MW.

In addition, we have a solar panel production plant in Toulouse and a photovoltaic panel assembly plant in eastern France through our affiliate SunPower (55.66%).

We own three production sites in Bordeaux, Poitiers and Nersac (central France) through our wholly owned affiliate Saft, which specializes in the design, production and marketing of high-tech batteries and battery cells for industry.

Lastly, we maintain our expertise in solar technology via three strategic partnerships:
- A project with EDF, the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the École Polytechnique engineering school under the auspices of the IPVF photovoltaic research center at the Saclay innovation cluster, to develop new PV module technologies and architecture.
- An industrial research program at Saclay bringing together the Laboratory of Physics of Interfaces and Thin Films (LPICM), École Polytechnique and the CNRS, to develop a new advanced process for vacuum deposition of thin films.
- A project with T-Lab to make photovoltaic systems more competitive by improving component reliability and performance and developing innovative solutions to penetrate new markets.

We have also forged a number of partnerships in the biotechnology sector, including:
- Our collaboration with the Grenoble-based Cell & Plant Physiology Laboratory (LPCV), run by the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), on an exploratory bioengineering research project to study microalgae.
- A cross-functional laboratory at our Solaize research center near Lyon, to develop joint R&D programs on biomolecules with a view to producing bio-based products that outperform fossil fuels.

We operate four refining facilities:
- The Normandy complex, which includes the Normandy refinery, the Gonfreville-l’Orcher petrochemical plant and a research center. The site operates in areas such as base chemicals and polymers.
- The Donges refinery on France’s western coast, which produces diesel, home heating oil and gasoline from crude oil sourced mainly from Eastern Europe, West Africa and the North Sea.
- The Feyzin refinery south of Lyon, which produces diesel, gasoline, home heating oil, naphtha and asphalt.
- The Grandpuits refinery near Paris, which supplies much of the greater Paris region with fuel.

We also operate the La Mède facility, France’s first biorefinery, which produces 500 metric kilotons per year of hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) from various types of vegetable oils, used and residual oils and category 3 animal fats, as well as other residues, for its advanced biofuels. The La Mède complex also includes an 8-megawatt photovoltaic farm equipped with the latest-generation solar panels, and an international operator training center offering life-size facilities.

Lastly, our Flandres facility near Dunkirk comprises:
- A high capacity storage depot for petroleum products (1,800,000 cubic meters).
- A training center, OLEUM, featuring a technical facility and teaching staff from both educational and engineering backgrounds.
- A technical support service, bringing together technicians and engineers who work on our refining and petrochemicals sites worldwide.
- A biofuel pilot project, known as BioTfueL, whose purpose is to develop technology for producing second-generation biofuels.

In petrochemicals:
- We operate the Carling Saint-Avold complex in eastern France, which will eventually become the European center for hydrocarbon resins.
- We hold a 50% interest in the Lavéra plant, which includes a steam cracker, a reformer, a polypropylene line and a naphtha storage facility.
- We operate a large network of chemical pipelines in France, connecting ethylene, propylene, and oil and gas production, storage and conversion facilities.

We own a 100% stake in SOBEGI, a company that provides energy, hydrogen sulfide, utilities, services and solutions tailored to industry players at the Lacq, Mourenx and Mont sites.

Lastly, we are active in specialty chemicals through our wholly owned affiliate Hutchinson, the leader in elastomers processing specialized in sealing, fluids management, anti-vibration systems, and materials and structures (acoustic and thermal insulation).

In France, we are a major player in the distribution of natural gas and low carbon electricity.

Through our subsidiary Total Direct Énergie, we supply nearly 63,000 sites with natural gas and 585,000 sites with electricity in the industrial and commercial segments. In the residential segment, we distribute natural gas to approximately 1 million customers and low-carbon electricity to nearly 2.7 million customers.

We are also a producer of gas-based electricity via our 3 combined cycle gas plants located in Ain, Lorraine and the North (total capacity of 1.23 GW).

We also provide related services in the energy efficiency market through our wholly owned affiliate GreenFlex, which offers consulting services to business customers on energy and environmental performance and the management and financing of energy-intensive assets, as well as digital-platform-based services.

In addition, we have regasification capacity of around 5.5 million tons per annum at the Fos Cavaou (Southern France) liquefied natural gas terminal, or 90% of the terminal’s total.

Lastly, we have a 10% stake in Géostock, which provides services related to the feasibility, design, development and operation of underground storage facilities on behalf of third parties.
