We have been active in Brazil, a pivotal driver for the growth of our Group and the development of all of our activities, for more than 40 years. In addition to exploration and production, we retail petrochemicals and market petroleum products and related services.
We also lead community outreach initiatives in the country to promote access to energy, education and sports.

We operate the Lapa field (35%), currently in production, located in Block BM-S-9A, 300 kilometers off the coast.

We also hold interests in the following production fields:
- The ultra-deep (2,000 meters) Libra field (20%), renamed Mero since 2017, located in the very prolific Santos Basin, 170 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
- The ultra-deep (2,230 meters) Iara field (22.5%), located in the Santos Basin, 230 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

In addition, we hold interests in the following exploration licenses:
- Gato do Mato (20%), located in the Santos Basin.
- The deep offshore (1,300-1,400 meters) Itaipu field (40%), located in the Campos Basin.
- The deep offshore (1,300-1,400 meters) Wahoo field (28.6%), located in the Campos Basin.

Lastly, we also hold interests in the 17 exploration sites located in the basins of Barreirinhas, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Foz do Amazonas and Pelotas.

Through our subsidiary Total Eren, in which we hold a stake of nearly 30% (direct and indirect), our Group operates three solar plants connected to the grid in Brazil and works on the development of wind projects.

We are also active in the country through our subsidiary Saft (100%), world leader in the design and production of high technology batteries for the industry.

We use an agent in Brazil and third-party agents based in the United States to market polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene. We also market petrochemicals sourced from our Qatari and South Korean joint ventures.

In specialty chemicals, we are active in the country through our wholly owned affiliate Hutchinson, the leader in elastomers processing specialized in sealing, fluids management, anti-vibration systems, and materials and structures (acoustic and thermal insulation). Hutchinson has three production facilities in Brazil.

We supply the Brazilian market with production from Bolivia’s San Alberto, San Antonio and Itaú Bloque XX fields, in which we hold a 15% interest.

We hold a 33.33% stake in Bolivia to Brazil Pipeline Project Holding Ltda. (BBPP Holding Ltda.), which owns 29% of the share capital of TBG, the company that owns and operates the Brazilian section of the gas pipeline linking Bolivia and Brazil.

We also own a 25% stake in the Transportadora Sul Brasileira de Gas (TSB) gas pipeline project, which supplies Argentine gas to the Uruguaiana thermal power plant and Bolivian gas to the Copesul petrochemical complex.

Lastly, we sell spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes sourced from our production in Nigeria and Norway.

We have a network of around 280 service stations in Brazil, where we retail our fuel and offer related services.

We also market:

- Additives and special fuels.
- Special fluids.

Lastly, we have a lubricant blending plant in Pindamonhangaba.

We purchase crude oil in Brazil and sell petroleum products.
