We operate, with a 70% interest, the Xerelete field (block BC-2), which lies 250 kilometers off Rio de Janeiro.

We have a 20% interest in the consortium that is developing the Libra oil field, which is located in the very prolific Santos Basin, 170 kilometers off Rio de Janeiro. This ultra-deepwater pre-salt reservoir, located at a water depth of 2,000 meters, has considerable production potential.

We also have 17 exploration licenses for blocks located in the Foz do Amazonas, Barreirinhas, Ceará, Espirito Santo and Pelotas basins.

We supply the Brazilian market with production from Bolivia’s San Alberto and San Antonio fields.

We hold a 33.33% stake in Bolivia to Brazil Pipeline Project Holding Ltda. (BBPP Holding Ltda.), which owns 29% of the share capital of the TBG gas pipeline linking Bolivia and Brazil.

We are also a partner of the Transportadora Sul Brasileira de Gas (TSB) gas pipeline project, which supplies Argentine gas to the Uruguaiana thermal power plant and Bolivian gas to the Copesul chemical complex.

Lastly, we sell spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes − from our production in Nigeria and Norway − in the spot market.

As part of our petrochemicals business, we use third parties to market polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene and styrene monomer, which are primarily sourced from our Qatari joint venture.

In specialty chemicals, our affiliate Hutchinson has three plants specialized in developing and manufacturing precision sealing, anti-vibration, body sealing, fluid transfer and belt drive systems, mainly for the automotive market, but also for the industry and home appliance sectors.
