More energies

Gas & green gas

We are partners in two large scale LNG projects: Gladstone LNG in Queensland, and Ichthys LNG, with offshore operations off the coast of Western Australia and liquefaction operations in the Northern Territory.

We intend to sustain our LNG production while supporting the vast investments required to decarbonize these assets by developing a carbon capture and storage project in the Bonaparte Basin.

Renewables & electricity

With 256 MW of renewable capacity in operation in Victoria, a short-term pipeline of solar, wind and storage projects of ~2 GW across Australia and a large scale green hydrogen development pipeline, TotalEnergies strive to play a leading role in the Australian energy transition.

Our affiliate Saft, has helped Gold Fields’ Agnew Gold Mine to switch to renewables. EDL’s Agnew Hybrid Renewable Power Station is Australia’s largest hybrid renewable energy microgrid and is the first to incorporate wind power at a mining site on a large scale.

Saft technology helps Gold Fields’ Agnew Gold Mine to switch to renewables.

Carbon storage

In addition, we have partnered with Agriprove to promote the development of Carbon sinks in the country. by granting funding to support farmers in migrating from intensive agricultural practices to a regenerative farming model.
