It’s Kick-Off Time for TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d'Ivoire 2023

01/11/2024

TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d'Ivoire 2023 will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, two years after the competition in Cameroon.

Title sponsored by TotalEnergies, the tournament will be held in five host cities across Côte d’Ivoire: Abidjan, Bouaké, Korhogo, San Pedro and Yamoussoukro. The 24 teams participating will battle it out on the football field to take home the winner’s trophy of this 34th edition, currently held by Senegal.

TotalEnergies is the title sponsor of the 10 main Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions, including the prestigious TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations. The aim of our partnership with the CAF, initiated in 2016, is to celebrate people’s passion for football – particularly in Africa, a continent integral to our identity – but also to deliver a fun, emotion-filled event and to promote the values associated with the sport.

A comprehensive brand activation strategy

A new Africa-wide ad campaign was launched in the lead-up to this edition of the tournament. It will air extensively throughout the 52 matches, both in stadiums and during match broadcasts.

As in previous years, the Football Together website and its one million Facebook followers will offer fans of African football a different view of the competition by showcasing all forms of celebration.

In terms of activation at our service stations and in stadiums, the Football Together jersey – designed to unite all supporters of African football – will be spotlighted once again, together with the official tournament song Fara’Mbé. The best player in each match will be awarded the TotalEnergies Man of the Match trophy. And of course, our Ball Kids campaign and disability-related initiatives will make the tournament so much more than a competitive sporting event.
