SATORP, Total’s biggest complex, was officially inaugurated on November 29 by His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and Patrick Pouyanné.
The event was the culmination of a remarkable collaboration between Total and Saudi Aramco.
SATORP, which took just over three years to build, is one of the most efficient, complex refining and petrochemical facilities in the world. It refines crude oil that is especially hard to process into high-value-added products.
