First Competition with the ARGOS Challenge Robots

The first competition was held in late June 2015, with the ARGOS Challenge teams meeting at the Lacq site in southwestern France.

It was an opportunity for the Air-K, Argonauts, Foxiris, Lio and Vikings teams to test their robots’ performance in the field. They had been working on their prototypes for more than a year.

Several tests were set for their robots: locating, reading and recording data at control points, notifying the operator if the measurements fell outside normal operating parameters, getting around unexpected obstacles and more. Did they succeed?
