ARNAUD BREUILLAC – PRESIDENT, EXPLORATION-PRODUCTION, TOTAL
Abu Dhabi is a very important city in the oil & gas world, particularly during the ADIPEC week. We’ve always been an active participant, and, of course, this year is very special because we’ve been chosen as the main partner in the new ADNOC 40-year offshore concessions. With our many other joint-ventures in refining, in petrochemicals, electricity generation, renewables, we are the number one partner of ADNOC today, so that’s a very successful partnership! The Middle East is very important for Total. We were born in the Middle East, in 1924, and we have had a very long and successful presence in the region. In the Middle East, we are also able to forge new forms of partnerships with national companies, which is extremely profitable and powerful for the future not only in E&P, but also in the downstream sector.
