On April 18, Total took part in the Hello Tomorrow Challenge, a European competition aiming to accelerate the growth of the most promising start-ups.
Organized by academics and doctoral students, this innovation forum brought together visionary young entrepreneurs driving the five major technology tracks of the future: biotech/medtech, hardware robotics, IT com, big data, and energy.
In the Energy category, Total, a member of the jury, presented the Energy Track Prize to Watch Life ElectroChemistry. The fledgling French company has invented an ultra-powerful optical microscope that could open up new possibilities in some of the areas that Total is involved in. It’s a great example of a partnership between a major industrial group and a start-up.
