Just a week after the Korean Grand Prix, Total swept the podium at the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday, October 13 too. Sebastian Vettel notched up his fifth victory in a row, edging closer to a fourth straight driver’s title. His Red Bull teammate, Mark Webber, placed second. And Romain Grosjean, the young French driver with the Lotus F1 Team, drove to a back-to-back third-place finish, after leading the first half of the race. “What a start! What a race! I feel much better as a driver,” exclaimed Romain, who is supported by Total, after the race ended.
Total is partnered with Red Bull and Lotus, which both use Renault engines. The Group has also teamed with Renault for more than 40 years, supplying it with fuel and lubricants for all Grand Prix events. Total and the French carmaker have now racked up more than 150 shared victories.
