Through our affiliate SunPower (55.66%), we market solar panels in the residential and commercial segments.

We also operate in the country through our wholly owned affiliate Saft, which specializes in the design, production and marketing of high-tech batteries and battery cells for industry. Saft has production facilities in Büdingen, northeast of Frankfurt, and in Tadiran.

We own (100%) Leuna, the country’s third-largest refinery, which is certified ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 50001 (energy efficiency). The refinery produces:
- Gasoline and other low-sulfur distillates.
- Propylene and asphalt.
- Methanol, of which it is Europe’s second-largest producer.

We also have a 55% interest in the company that owns the oil pipeline linking up to the Russian pipeline on the Polish border and carrying the crude oil we import from Russia.

Lastly, we have a tank farm for storing crude oil that houses ten tanks, each with a storage capacity of 30,000 cubic meters.

In petrochemicals, we have a 68% stake in Polyblend, a plastics compounding company. Polyblend has a site based in Bad Soberheim with nine production lines.

We are active in specialty chemicals through our wholly owned affiliate Hutchinson, the leader in elastomers processing specialized in sealing, fluids management, anti-vibration systems, and materials and structures (acoustic and thermal insulation). Hutchinson has several plants in the country that cater to the aeronautics, aerospace, and automotive industries.

Through our affiliate Total Energie Gaz (TEG), based near Stuttgart, we market gas and power to our industrial customers, city utilities and small- and medium-sized businesses, supplying around 17,000 locations with gas and 18,000 with electricity.

We are also active in energy efficiency consulting through our affiliate TENAG.

We have a network of close to 1,190 service stations in Germany, including multi-energy and hydrogen locations and AS24 outlets for long-haul truckers, where we retail our fuel and offer related services.

We also market:
- Petroleum products and related services for general retail sale.
- Lubricants.
- Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
- Asphalt.
- Marine fuel.
- Jet fuel.
- Special fluids, sourced mainly from our Oudalle plant in Normandy.
