Our local affiliate has interests in 93 licenses, including 35 as operator. The licenses are divided among four major geographic areas:
- The Southern North Sea, including the Greater Ekofisk area, most of which we do not operate. Four fields are in production; Ekofisk (39.90%) and Eldfisk (39.90%) are the largest of them.
- The Oseberg area, in the Central and Northern North Sea, includes the following fields: Oseberg (14.70%), Troll (3.69%), Kvitebjørn (5.00%) and Visund (7.70%). A number of satellite fields are tied back to the hubs, such as Atla (40.00%, operator), Skirne (40.00%, operator), Tune (10.00%) and Stjerne (14.70%). The Martin Linge (51.00%, operator) field is under development.
- The Norwegian Sea (Haltenbanken area), which has several fields in production, including Tyrihans (23.15%), Kristin (6.00%), Åsgard (7.68%) and Mikkel (7.65%).
- The Barents Sea, with an 18.40% interest in the Snøhvit and Askeladd fields. Gas from the Snøhvit area is piped via a 160 kilometer-long line to the liquefaction plant (18.40%) in Melkøya, near Hammerfest, then exported by LNG carrier.

Total has an 18.40% interest in the Snøhvit liquefaction plant. We purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the plant under a long-term supply contract. We market this LNG in North America, Spain and Northwestern Europe.

We market polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene and base chemical products, some of which are sourced from our Qatari joint venture.
