Total at the K 2016 Plastics and Rubber Trade Fair

10/20/2016

The K 2016 Trade Fair opened in Dusseldorf, Germany, on October 19. Held every three years, K Fair is the world’s No. 1 trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, a can’t-miss event and prime opportunity to cement loyal customers and win new ones. This year, more than 3,000 exhibitors were expected to take part, with over a hundred clients and as many Total employees visiting our stand.

Jenny Arbon, Market Development Engineer, explains how it’s a headline event for Total’s Polymers business.

“The K Fair is a unique opportunity to present our developments and promote our products. In short, to enhance our image and show that we’re players. An animated app will enable us to interact with our customers and show them the full range of our activities, services and commitments to sustainability. That’s important to our customers, who expect greener products, such as recycled polymers and biopolymers, or solutions to make their vehicles lighter, for example.

Polymer molding machine manufacturers are also in attendance. That gives us a chance to show our customers, live, how workable our materials are in their machines. The Hosokawa Alpine stand, for example, will use our resins to extrude an 11-layer film over three days.”
