TWICE Dissects Ten Years of Growth

03/06/2018

With 3,000 members in over 30 countries, TWICE, Total’s network for women (open to men too!) celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2017.

To take stock, it surveyed its membership and the results are now out. The survey’s findings help assess what’s working, what could be improved and where to go in the future.

We’ve now clearly identified the tools that work best. First, mentoring - so popular that we can’t satisfy all the requests for it. Next, breakfast meetings to share experiences, talks, training workshops and speed meetings to introduce people to professional fields,” says Odile de Damas-Nottin, Senior Vice President, Audit & Internal Control and Chair of TWICE. Participants, both at specific events and the people involved in the network’s 30 steering committees, find advice, mutual support, caring, women sharing their experiences and lots of chances to meet new people, from all horizons.

The network’s strength is its ability to fast-track careers, via the discussions among Total’s women employees, regardless of their location, segment, professional field, experience, job level or age. Now that it has its ten years under its belt, should we wish TWICE ten more?

TWICE will have fulfilled its dream when there’s no longer any reason for it to exist,” comments Odile de Damas-Nottin. In the meantime, the network is there. Let’s keep it growing until gender equality goes without saying.
