The Energy Mix in 2035

Quel mix énergétique pour respecter le scénario 2°C ?

To keep the average global temperature increase below 2°C by 2100, the International Energy Agency’s 2°C scenario involves: reduce the share of coal for the benefit of gas, which emits around half as much CO2 as coal when used for power generation. The share of renewables will soar over the same period, to 23% from 9%, excluding traditional biomass. This growth will be led by a surge in solar and wind power along with “modern” biomass.
