In
central France, there is a little
town called Chanteuges where
the Desges flows into the Allier
river. Chanteuges boasts an 8,000-square-metre
fish farm that is a combined
salmon nursery, research centre
and conservatory. The farm runs
an exemplary programme, restocking
the Loire Basin and raising public
awareness. The Total Corporate
Foundation for Biodiversity and
the Sea has been providing backing
to the venture for over five
years now.
