The Earth is warming up. This is nothing new of course; for millions of years, warm periods have alternated with cool ones. But does that mean that the scientists are wrong to sound the alarm and ask us to take more seriously the current disturbances in our planet’s weather patterns? Far from ignoring scientific warnings, the international community has heeded them, as have politicians and leaders of industry.
