Africa has tremendous potential but has so far been able to realise only part of it. In an effort to assess the future of this continent, the Total University organised a seminar in Paris on 25-26 September 2007 to discuss the geopolitical, economic and cultural prospects of Africa as a whole. One key question was how the continent could benefit from globalisation. Mamadou Diouf, professor of African history at Columbia University in New York, provides some answers. |
