Total is developing its presence in shale gas production in Europe (Denmark and Poland) and the Americas. In 2009, the Group began to invest in the United States by forming a major partnership with one of the sector’s leading operators. The Group recently set up in China and Australia.
In Europe: Denmark, France and Poland
Total operates two licenses in Denmark and has interests in two exploration blocks in Poland. In France, Total is appealing the government’s decision to revoke our license in 2011.
Total is consolidating positions worldwide.
After the United States and Argentina, the Group has set up in China and Australia.
