TotalFinaElf's UK gas and power activity, TotalFinaElf Gas & Power, has reached an agreement with ExxonMobil, subject to appropriate regulatory approvals, to acquire Mobil's UK industrial and commercial gas marketing business.

The acquisition will take TotalFinaElf Gas & Power marketing business, through its wholly owned subsidiary Elf Business Energy, to a market leading position by gas volume sales for the UK Industrial and Commercial sector.

Following the acquisition, TotalFinaElf Gas & Power will now supply natural gas to 54,000 sites located throughout the mainland United Kingdom.

TotalFinaElf is also committed to developing and expanding its gas retailing activities in Europe, and notably in France and Spain.
