ZeroCreep™
Developed by Bostik, ZeroCreep™ is an elastic attachment adhesive used in making disposable baby diapers and adult incontinence products. It reduces the overall amount of adhesive needed during manufacturing, lightens substrates and improves productivity, while delivering equivalent or enhanced performance at reduced cost-in-use. The new hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) makes it possible to attach the six Lycra® elastic leg bands (typically three on each side) at a minimum rate of 400 meters per minute. It also provides excellent creep resistance, thereby avoiding the leaks often associated with disposable garments.
- The Total Ecosolutions advantage: Compared to a standard adhesive applied using a “macrospiral” process, the new ZeroCreep™ compound applied by means of a “microspiral” process lowers the amount of adhesive needed by at least 50%, while maintaining, or even improving, bonding performance.
- Environmental performance: The minimum 50% reduction in the amount of adhesive required during manufacturing has produced various environmental benefits, including a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, greater energy efficiency, reduced water consumption and improved liquid effluent quality (lower COD). The environmental impact is also mitigated by the fact that less energy is required during the melt process.

Fuel economy engine oils for cars
Elf and Total-branded engine oils (also known as lubricants) for cars include a number of fuel economy (FE) oils: TOTAL ACTIVA INEO ECS, TOTAL QUARTZ INEO ECS, ELF EVOLUTION SXR 5W-30, TOTAL ACTIVA 9000 FUTURE 5W-30, TOTAL QUARTZ FUTURE 9000 5W-30. ACTIVA is a long-established trademark used in metropolitan France and the French West Indies, and QUARTZ is the trademark used in the rest of the world.
These engine oils have earned the “fuel economy” designation because they meet the specifications of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), which publishes its own fuel economy criteria.
The ACEA Oil Sequences set a minimum performance level for engine oils to obtain this certification.
Fuel economy engine oils enable cars to use less fuel than with conventional engine oil.
- The Total Ecosolutions advantage: Compared to the ACEA reference oil — RL191, a 15W-40 mineral oil used in its fuel economy test — Total and Elf fuel economy engine oils deliver a recognized fuel economy improvement of at 2.5%.

GR Consommer moins [Use Less Fuel] solution
Total GR provides GR fuel cards to corporate fleets, entitling holders to a variety of services, such as online fuel consumption tracking, to help both drivers and fleet managers.
Total GR introduced the "consommer moins" solution in 2008 to help our customers reduce their fuel consumption.
One of the services associated with the GR card is an ecodriving program, and it was this that was taken into account when deciding to label the "consommer moins" program. This approach includes practical ecodriving courses in partnership with specialized companies and a discount for GR cardholders; an ecodriving self-training module developed specifically for our customers, available free at http://www.consommermoins-gr.com/; driver education media; and free turnkey fuel efficiency challenges for GR customers.
- The Total Ecosolutions advantage: Compared to a conventional fleet fuel card to access or pay for fuel in service station, with basic tracking via regular statements detailing consumption, Total’s "consommer moins" program and its associated ecodriving services reduce fuel consumption by at least 5%.
- Environmental performance: Reduced consumption of primary energy (fossil fuels) and a reduction in related carbon dioxide emissions.
- Label award date: February 2010
- Label term: 3 years
- Label term (after annual review): April 2012. The ecodriving program does not make part anymore of the services linked to Total GR card. We are working on a new offer more adapted to the needs of the corporate fleets managers.
The information in the label request files submitted for Total Ecosolutions products and services is reviewed annually, allowing internal governance organizations to decide whether the label is still warranted.
