Preserving the Environment
The Total Ecosolutions program
Leveraging innovation to serve continuous improvement, the Total Ecosolutions program is aimed at developing products and services to help our customers — both businesses and consumers — to consume less and/or reduce their environmental footprint.
Introduced in 2009, the program today encompasses 37 different products and services. Other products and services are in the final stage of the labeling process.
We will be gradually adding more solutions, all designed to help our customers continuously improve their energy efficiency and/or reduce their environmental impact.
According to our estimates, based on a comparison with reference products and services in the European market offering an equivalent outcome for the customer, the use of Total Ecosolutions products and services avoided 740,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions in 2012 (on the whole life cycle). That is the amount emitted by more than 75,000 European Union residents in one year¹.
