Vega Pléyade offshore platform

Now on stream, Vega Pléyade in Argentina is the world's southernmost development. A record that raised its fair share of challenges: the field lies 2,900 kilometers from Buenos Aires, in raging seas buffeted by winds of up to 180 kilometers an hour, strong currents and temperatures of -20°C in winter. Project leader Daniel Camaros looks back at the extraordinary saga that played out in Tierra del Fuego.

Vega Pléyade has a production capacity of 10 million cubic meters of gas per day, which will allow us to maintain our position as Argentina's second-ranked gas operator. The country's energy demand is growing and we're well positioned there, as Jean-Marc Hosanski, Chief Executive Officer of Total Austral, explains.
