Every year, the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) recognizes major projects carried out by a company.

On November 15, 2016, the Laggan-Tormore project led by Total in the North Sea won the Excellence in Project Integration Award at this year's IPTC in Bangkok. The project came on stream last February.

The assessment criteria include project impact and execution, success in integrating multiple disciplines and teams, engineering design, the development of new technologies and meaningful commitments to HSE and local content.

This award, from peers in the oil and gas industry, recognizes the technological and operational excellence of Total's teams in deep offshore projects.
