Individual Shareholders

Meetings & Activities in 2010

The Total Shareholders’ Advisory Committee (CCA) was set up in 1993 in order to develop consistent and in-depth communication with individual shareholders. The Committee meets a minimum of three times a year and each meeting is an opportunity to exchange ideas with a member of the Executive or Management Committees. These regular meetings allow Total's individual shareholders to give their feedback on current events at the Group.

The Shareholders' Advisory Committee(CCA) held 4 meetings:

  • In March, with former President Thierry Desmarest,
  • In May, following the Shareholders’ meeting,
  • In September, at the Normandy refinery,
  • In December, with Chief Financial Officer Patrick de La Chevardière.

During these meetings, the CCA met several VIPs of Total, shared its opinion regarding the communication media to individual shareholders and contributed to various themes.

As a result, in 2010, the CCA brought its contribution to the Corporate Social Responsibility report, took part to the thinking about the Shareholders’ Circle 2011 new rules and worked on the preparation of the Annual Shareholders’ meeting with the implementation of the Internet system for attending and voting in the meeting.
