Jul. 13, 01

TotalFinaElf is to conclude an agreement to sell 74 service stations in France to Agip Française. The Total- and Elf-branded retail outlets are located in eastern and southeastern France, primarily in the Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Côte d’Azur regions.

The service stations, including three highway outlets, account for aggregate sales of 200,000 cubic meters of motor fuel, or around 0.5% of the total French market.

The transaction is in line with TotalFinaElf’s strategy of actively managing its marketing network in France.

TotalFinaElf is Europe’s leading refiner and marketer, with a refining capacity of more than one hundred million metric tons per year and a network of 13,300 service stations.
