Pierre Castillon, Vice-President, Research, Technology and Environment of Elf Aquitaine, has been appointed, on November 9, 1999, Chairman of the Council for Applied Sciences of the National French Academy of Sciences (CADAS).
He will replace, on January 1, 2000, Michel Lavalou, former Vice-President Research and Development of Rhône Poulenc, former Vice-Chairman of the scientific mission of the Ministry of Research and Technology, former Chairman of the Compiègne University.
Pierre Castillon will be given the responsibility of transforming CADAS into an Academy of Technology. |
