Stakeholders

Our corporate social responsibility process is part of our relations with our stakeholders, who include:

  • 95,070 employees worldwide (consolidated scope).
  • Around 570,000 individual shareholders and 70,098 employee shareholders.
  • Nearly 50,000 active suppliers.
  • More than 130 host countries as well as communities near our sites.
  • Customers, both consumers (automotive fuel, lubricants, LPG, chemicals, etc.) and industrial customers (oil and gas, automotive fuel, natural gas, LNG, power, chemicals, etc.).
  • NGOs and institutions: more than 2,500 community actions identified in 2005, deployed in partnership with local authorities.

We maintain sustainable, trust-based relationships with all of these stakeholders. We are committed to regular dialogue, which is vital to meeting the strong expectations our presence arouses. This dialogue is a significant source of progress and improvement.

In addition, because our stakeholders are directly concerned by Total’s activities and performance, we make sure that they share the value created by our operations.
