In January 2012, Total grouped its refining, chemicals and petrochemicals activities into a single Refining & Chemicals business. We aim to unlock synergies to be more competitive, optimize the management of feedstock streams, capital expenditures and maintenance turnaround at certain production sites and pool support functions (IT, human resources, etc.). The change also fosters the development of integrated solutions to expand Total activities in growth markets such as Asia and the Middle East.
